\nCAEN RFID, leading provider of electronic instrumentation for radio frequency identification, announces today the release of a new temperature logger semipassive tag.<\/p>\n

The EASY2LOG\u00a9 Temperature Logger (Mod. A927Z) is a low cost, semi-passive UHF tag that allows to monitor temperature sensitive products during transportation or storage. Being compatible with the EPC Class1 Gen2\/ISO18000 6C standard, EASY2LOG\u00a9 can be used with most of the Gen2 UHF RFID readers available on the market without requiring any additional equipment.<\/p>\n

“The underlying idea for this new product”<\/i> says Giovanni Grieco, CAEN RFID’s Sales Director, “is to use existing UHF RFID products, such as portal and handheld readers,
\n as data capture devices also for temperature monitoring of goods. Once programmed, the tag will start to monitor the life of your temperature sensitive product, thus allowing to identify any problem occurred along the whole cold chain by just performing an inventory cycle”<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Its low cost, small footprint, robust design and long battery lifetime (3 or 5 years versions available) allow EASY2LOG\u00a9 to be not only a pallet-tag but also a case-tag, giving a very localized measurement of the temperature (e.g. monitoring different areas within a single cargo or truck).<\/p>\n

The EASY2LOG\u00a9 temperature logger is recommended for recording temperatures during transportation and\/or storage of temperature-sensitive goods such as fresh food (fruit, vegetables), seafood, meat and poultry, milk-based products, frozen food, chemical\/pharmaceutical products. Thanks to its features, EASY2LOG\u00a9 is able to satisfy any request of temperature monitoring along the supply chain with the most cost effective solution available on the market.<\/p>\n
